Parks and Open Spaces
Shifnal Town Council has responsibility for several areas of local landscape within the town.
By managing and maintaining these green spaces, the council is helping preserve the visual attractiveness of the Town and is contributing to the health and wellbeing of its residents.
The council is also responsible for the town centre hanging basket display and a number of planter boxes throughout the town, as well as the ones on the approaching roads into town.
This is a popular green space which is used by local football clubs. The park is used annually by the Shifnal Carnival in April for the Spring Fling Event and on Carnival Day for car parking.
Shropshire Council as part of their Xtreme Programme, Shifnal Harriers and the Shifnal Europeans. The area has numerous items of play equipment and is home to a BMX track, all of which are looked after by Brewood Landscapes and our Estates Officer.
The Jubilee Play Area is a large expanse of green space bordering Wesley Brook. The area has some children’s play equipment and an area to play football.
The Curriers Lane Play Area is near the Shifnal Primary School and is a smaller park for younger children.
