The annual Shifnal 10K Race will take place on Sunday, 11th May, with participants running through various parts of the town and surrounding roads. To facilitate the event safely, the following roads will be closed:
• Shrewsbury Road – Closed from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
• Bradford Street – Closed from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
• Victoria Road – Closed from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
• Innage Road – Closed from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
• Field Lane – Closed from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
• The Hem – Closed from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
• Evelith Lane – Closed from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
• Hinnington Road – Closed from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
• Park Lane – Closed from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
• Market Place – Closed from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM
Kings Yard car park closed for the duration of the event.
Please note that for the safety of all participants, certain roads will be closed at different times for short durations while runners pass, controlled vehicle movements will be permitted when it is safe to do so. We kindly ask that you plan your travel accordingly on the day of the race, and we appreciate your understanding and support. A map of the route and closures can be seen on the attachments provided with this letter. We kindly ask that you avoid parking on these roads during these times to ensure the smooth running of the race. Diversion routes will be clearly signposted to minimise inconvenience and Marshalls will be placed throughout the route to provide assistance and direction where required.
