Grants

Shifnal Town Council allocates various funds each year in the form of grants. Members of the local community are encouraged to take advantage of the available grant funding to support the activities of groups and organisation active in Shifnal. Funding is obtained by the direct taxation (the precept) of residents of Shifnal, and the Town Council will look favourably on those requests that have wider appeal. Requests from regional and national charities are rarely considered appropriate for a Town Council grant.

The level of grant funding is generally, but not exclusively geared, to how many residents benefit.

Completed application forms and supporting documentation should be forwarded to the Town Clerk no later than 10 working days before the meeting dates in April and October.
