Fire Station Exhibition Centre and Meeting Room

The Shifnal Fire Station was refurbished, part funded by a Veolia Landfill Grant, as an Exhibition Centre and Meeting Room in December 2009. The venue houses the Shifnal History Exhibition which is run by the Shifnal Local History Group.
The Shifnal Local History Group collects, curates and interprets the growing collection of resource materials, including photographs, documents and objects, which illustrate the history of Shifnal through the ages and welcomes over 500 people every year since the facility became home to the exhibition in 2009. The display is open on Fridays (2pm – 4pm) and Saturdays (10am – 12noon) each week. Admission to the History Exhibition is free. The Shifnal Local History Group members are all volunteers and welcome anyone with an interest in Shifnal’s history to join them.
